Her knowledge and experience ranges from greenfield site development, strategic planning for re-consenting projects, compliance evaluations and implementing action plans to ensure full compliance. Principal Planning Consultant
Laura is a widely regarded environmental professional with over 15 years resource management experience across public and private sectors in senior technical and leadership roles. The majority of Laura’s work has been in land use and water management, with a focus on the farming and the dairy industry sector. Laura has a proven history of adding value by developing pragmatic and robust solutions and building mutually beneficial stakeholder relationships.
Laura is based in the Lincoln office and as such is able to provide a high level of service to the Canterbury Region in particular.
Principal Planning Consultant
Jenny has over 30 years’ experience as an environmental planner working for the public sector. This career history means that Jenny has a detailed knowledge of both the Southland District Council and Invercargill City Council District Plans as well as the RMA and overarching environmental planning principles. Jenny is experienced at preparing and presenting evidence at Council hearings and is a full member of the NZPI as well as being a certified Hearings Commissioner.
Senior Environmental Planner
Melissa joins the WM Environmental Team based in our Invercargill Office as a Planner who specialises in Regional Council consenting, and particularly applications relating to dairy farming activities. After graduating from Lincoln University with a Bachelor of Science with a Major in Ecology and Conservation, Melissa spent 10 years in various roles at Environment Southland. This experience extends to consent monitoring, enforcement and incident response.
Senior Environmental Consultant
Emily has a demonstrated history in environmental management and a passion for supporting companies with improving their level of environmental compliance. Emily is proficient in the ISO14001 Environmental Management System Standard and its intent, including interpretation and application in an industrial setting.
Emily is based in the Nelson office and provides a local point of contact for our Tasman and Marlborough clients.
Emily has come to WM Environmental after completing a Bachelor of Science, specialising in Geography and Environmental Management. Coming from an extensive Southland farming background, Emily has hands-on experience and is currently managing stock on a dairy run-off block. Emily is studying towards a Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Management and is based in our Invercargill office.
As an Executive Assistant, Lauren is a core part of the WM Environmental team and a welcoming first point of contact for WM Environmental. Lauren supports our team members to ensure that day-to-day operations run smoothly and also ensures that key strategic tasks are completed in order to support business development.
Contracted Surveyor - TL Survey Services (Principal)
WM Environmental is pleased to have partnered with TL Survey Services to provide streamlined Subdivision services, from surveying to resource consenting.
Steve is the Managing Director of TL Survey Services and covers the Otago and Southland Regions. Steve is responsible for the overall TL Survey Services management and official sign-offs required by Land Information NZ and the various local authorities. Steve enjoys client liaision with both exisiting and new clientele and brings a wealth of surveying knowledge.
